When it comes to DC Development

we have no filter.

New Bright MLS | NAR rules limit your options and shield information on new construction projects.

Bright MLS and The National Association of Realtors have chosen to hide detailed information on new construction projects as they progress, restricting public access only to sales jargon provided by developers once a project is ready to sell. New construction represents a huge portion of the housing inventory in the District, yet these developers and builders are currently allowed to market, show and sell projects without ever entering them in MLS, excluding a large portion of consumers who don’t know where to search for them. The new rules silence those who reported on developments in early stages, before the quality of a build is covered by drywall. That’s a disservice to buyers, who often can’t source this information themselves. There’s a serious housing inventory shortage in DC. Why hide upcoming inventory from buyers?
