NORTHWEST DC

Northwest DC neighborhoods are found north of the National Mall & west of North Capitol Street, in the northwest quadrant. It is the largest of the four quadrants in the District. The Northwest DC neighborhood represents a bit more than 42% of the city. The following are some of our favorites.

SOUTHWEST DC

Southwest DC neighborhoods are sited within the Southwest Quadrant, which spans the area south of south of the National Mall and west of South Capitol Street. Southwest is made up of five neighborhoods; The Southwest Waterfront, Southwest Federal Center, Bellevue, Buzzard’s Point and Anacostia. One of our favorites; The Wharf at the Southwest Waterfront.

NORTHEAST DC

Northeast DC neighborhoods are located in the Northeast Quadrant, north of E Capitol Street and east of N Capitol Street. A section of the Northeast Quadrant dubbed ‘Near Northeast’ is bordered by North Capitol Street to the west, Florida Avenue to the north, F Street to the south, and 15th Street to the east. One of our favorites; Brookland.

SOUTHEAST DC

Southeast DC neighborhoods are located in the Southeast Quadrant, south of East Capitol Street and east of South Capitol Street. You’ll find Capitol Hill and Hill East, the Navy Yard and Yards Park, Anacostia River waterfront and Hillcrest. The western portion is referred to as “Near Southeast.” The portion to the river’s east is “River East.”
