The Wharf DC Development

New Condos at The Wharf at the SouthWest Waterfront

The Wharf by. Hoffman-Madison Waterfront, LLC is transforming a mid-century waterfront into a world-class residential and entertainment destination. Phase 1 included an 19-acre, mixed-use community featuring two residential buildings 525 Water and Vio, a Class-A office building, yacht club, two parks and a parking garage. The residential component also includes a 501-unit apartment building with a music hall located on the first five levels. An additional residential building, Parcel 9 is planned for Phase II. The Capital Yacht Club is being built on a pier over the Washington Channel and will offer 98 marina slips, a 700,000 square foot parking garage with two below-grade levels supplying 2,500 parking spaces. Two small buildings will be built on piers. The grade of the site was raised by reconstructing 1,600 linear-feet of bulkhead along the Washington Channel. The contractor for the project, Clark Construction Group, relocated several thousand feet of water, sewer, electrical, and telecommunications lines, which service the Southwest community. Clark Interiors is also renovating the existing Channel Inn. The two residential buildings and Capital Yacht Club are designed for LEED Silver certification. The grand opening for The Wharf took place in October 2017, and completion of Phase I in 2018 sets the stage for the final phase, Phase II, to begin in 2019.
