Approx. 4,114 square feet of residential will be designated as Inclusionary Zoning units, among them a 378 square foot penthouse studio. A total of 26 to 43 parking spaces on a two level underground parking garage will be offered, accessible from Wiltberger Street. Approximately 21 to 27 bicycle storage spaces are also included in developers’ plans. The Shaw is located just a few feet from the planned Holzbeierlein Bakery mixed-use project (Adora) at 1812-1827 Wiltberger Street. The two projects largely transform the short block.

The Shaw at Ellington Plaza offers two interior packages:
- The Bright Minimalist offers distinct textures and natural accents, including light colored wood floors and Porcelanosa XLIGHT countertops and backsplashes;
- The Warm Sophisticate balances the warm tones in the wood-paneled cabinets with the clean lines of the Porcelanosa XLIGHT white countertops and backsplashes.
Exterior Design Details
Exterior design details: The site is currently occupied by four two-story commercial and residential buildings directly opposite the Howard Theatre and Ellington Plaza. The developer is incorporating the facade of two of the buildings, 610 T and 618 T) into the new design. 2016 revisions to the project include incorporation of two T Street facades (at 610 and 618 T Street) of the four existing buildings into a new 7 story mixed-use building with ground floor preferred retail, service and arts uses totaling approximately 7,420 SF (formerly 7,495); Approximately 59-79 residential units (formerly 59-69); Approximately 4,114 SF (formerly 4,074) of gross floor area will be designated as Inclusionary Zoning Units); Two levels of below-grade parking consisting of 26 – 43 residential and retail parking spaces (formerly 36 – 37 spaces). The Project will have a height of 70 feet and a proposed FAR of approximately 5.72 – 5.911 (formerly 5.40 to 5.922).
