Developers plan to rehabilitate and add to the contributing structure(s) in the Shaw Historic District, renovate and convert existing buildings into a mixed-use property including residential and retail space. A new third story and penthouse will be added while retaining the historic façade and party walls.

The property was listed at $3,500,000. in Sept. 2013 by Lucas Grodsky as commercial office space. Public records show the listing agreement as canceled 17 days later. Current owner is shown as 1612 Seventh Street NW Lp.
