Eckington Yards is a new construction project including 3 buildings housing 682 multifamily units and 70K SF of retail designed around a woonerf. Signed retail occupants include Brooklyn Boulders and Union Kitchen & grocery. The project is located across the street from Armature Works, REI and Uline Arena. Across Harry Thomas Way, at the southeast corner where it intersects with R Street, Foulger-Pratt is building its mixed-use Eckington Park project offering luxury apartments. Both projects are located in the Eckington neighborhood of NE Washington DC.

Eckington Yards Project Details
Eckington Yards was originally designed as a 900,000 SF multi-use, four building project cited by Girard Engineering as mixed-use development including underground parking, ground floor retail and a mix of residential units including apartments, townhomes and condominiums. Project architect Eric Colbert cited the project as including 450 Rental Apartments and 225 Condominium Units for a total of 625,000 square feet of Residential along with 70,000 square feet of retail space. Amenities were to include a green roof, commons spaces with pools, a central plaza, bike parking and a promenade, along with a hotel that potentially could convert to residential. The revised 3 building project is now expected to be a solely for-lease apartment development.
