How does the DC school system operate?

DC schools operate on a boundary and feeder system.
The system determines:

  • Which school students attend
  • Rights students have to remain in their school of choice
  • Rights students have to transfer to a different school

A feeder pattern school shows which schools a student has the right to attend.

SY24-25 School Feeder Patterns. Active for students transitioning grades between SY23-24 and SY24-25.

SY23-24 School Feeder Patterns. Active for students transitioning grades between SY22-23 and SY23-24.

Adriana

Susan and Alex are amazing! After a bad experience with another agent left us in a very tough position, they turned everything around. They did a thorough evaluation of the property, offered expert advice and helped to prepare the condo for sale. They worked very hard, used local connections and communicated with us well. Despite the tough August market, we sold in less than 2 weeks.
